Discover the history of Budapest's Jewish community with a professional guide on this small-group tour of the old Jewish Quarter. The Essential Tour starts inside the Dohány Street Synagogue, the largest in Europe, then visits the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives. It continues to the Raoul Wallenberg Holocaust Memorial Park, named for the diplomat who saved thousands of lives, and Heroes' Temple, which honours those lost in World War I. The route also passes through streets that formed the wartime ghetto. The Grand Tour adds more synagogues and memorials, including Gozsdu Udvar, the Carl Lutz Memorial and the Kazinczy Street Synagogue. It finishes with sweets at the kosher Fröhlich Bakery and Café, plus a 10% discount at the kosher Carmel restaurant for later.
