A 1-hour small-group baking class at a family-run shop near St Stephen's Basilica, where you make and eat three traditional Hungarian chimney cakes.
Learn to make kürtőskalács, Hungary's famous chimney cake, in a hands-on class at Kató Néni Finomságai, a family-run bake shop two streets from St Stephen's Basilica. Your hosts show you how to work the dough and wrap it around the spit, then you coat your cakes in cinnamon, coconut or sugar before baking and tasting them. Each guest makes three chimney cakes, and the technique is easy to repeat at home. Groups are small, so you get plenty of attention. The dough is vegan, and coffee or tea and water are included.
